Monday May 14th RAMS organises the symposium “Creating tissue? Not an issue!”, about tissue engineering and organ-on-a-chip. Different speakers will talk about multiple perspectives of this theme. First, researcher and child surgeon Sanne Botden will talk about congenital hernia diaphragmatica and tissue engineering. Sander Leeuwenburgh, a professor at the Dental Faculty in Nijmegen, is researching and talking about nanostructured and self healing biomaterials and bone generation. Last but not least, Meike van der Zande did her PhD in tissue engineering and at our symposium, she will tell us about organ-on-a-chip models. More information is provided at the Facebook event.
