Hi everyone! My name is Laura Hooijmaijers, and I am currently a second-year master student Biomedical Sciences. The coming academic year, I will fulfil the position of Vice-Chair at the board of RAMS. In this function, I am responsible for the documentation of board meetings, the maintenance of our annual planning, and the organization of network events and masterclasses. Furthermore, I will replace the Chair when necessary. My main goal for this year is to optimize the format of the masterclasses, in order to let them fit the needs of both bachelor and master (bio)medical students even more, thereby making them attractive to a larger audience. Additionally, I am committed to finding a suitable way to let the masterclasses take place this year, even during the pandemic. I am looking forward to further develop my organizational skills, learn more about the processes behind the publication of a scientific journal, as well as contribute to the scientific development of other students.
Treasurer – Hajar Rotbi

Hello! My name is Hajar Rotbi, and I am currently a second-year medical student and treasurer of the RAMS board. This means that I am the woman of the money within RAMS. It is my responsibility to control all financial aspects of RAMS. I create our financial plan and keep track of the finances during the academic year. Furthermore, I reach out to potential sponsors and close deals with them. I am also part of the Masterclass committee, which organizes masterclasses to educate students about diverse aspects of research. Besides these specific tasks, I am, together with the other board members, involved in the daily management of RAMS. My main goals this year are to improve my organization skills, enhance my own scientific knowledge and writing, and of course, to develop a lot of financial insights! I hope to see you soon at one of our activities!
Public Relations – Guusje van Veldhuizen
E-mail
Hi everyone! My name is Guusje van Veldhuizen, and I am currently having a gap-year before I am starting my medical residency. During this year, I will be taking psychology courses and fulfil the position of board member Public-Relations of RAMS. Providing this website with the latest news is one of my responsibilities. Besides that, I will be promoting our masterclasses and symposia, writing our newsletter every other month and promoting RAMS in general. My goal is to get students of the Radboud University acquainted with RAMS and its possibilities. After three years in medical school, I feel like my affinity with scientific research is still limited. RAMS challenges me to expand my interest in scientific research, and I want to stimulate other students to use this opportunity too.
